2 Performances only! Saturday 31 July & Sunday 1st August A fabulously entertaining 90 minute comic oratorio by Eric Idle and John Du Prez (creators of Spamalot), inspired by Monty Python’s Life Of Brian and filmed at its only European performance at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2009 to celebrate 40 years of Monty Python. This hilarious take on the Messiah features the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, a host of superb soloists in the lead roles including Rosalind Plowright and Eric Idle, with Michael Palin as Mrs Betty Parkinson and special guest appearances from Pythons Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam. And of course three sheep! Like Handel only funnier. "It is rare you get to be silly on a mass scale. This work was commissioned by the Toronto Luminato Festival in 2007 where it was conducted by my cousin Peter Oundjian with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. ... It tells the tragic tale of Mandy, impregnated by a Roman soldier, giving birth to Brian, a reluctant revolutionary who falls in love with Judith, gets mistaken for a Messiah and is condemned to death. It ranges in reference from Handel, through a naughty Mozart duet, to the Festival of Nine Carols, Bob Dylan, and the classic finale Always Look On The Bright Side of Life." Eric Idle Starring Eric Idle, William Ferguson, Shannon Mercer, Roslaind Plowright, Christopher Purvis Special appearances from: Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, carol Cleveland, Neil Innes. 2 Performance only Exclusive to Luna Leederville & Luna SX Fremantle. Saturday 31st July @ 1.00pm and Sunday 1st August @ 5.00pm Tickets $20/$18 concession - now on sale and online |

Based in real theatrical history, ME AND ORSON WELLES is a romantic coming‐of‐age story about teenage student Richard Samuels (ZAC EFRON) who lucks into a role in “Julius Caesar” as it’s being re‐imagined by a brilliant, impetuous young director named Orson Welles (impressive newcomer CHRISTIAN MCKAY) at his newly founded Mercury Theater in New York City, 1937.
The roller coaster week leading up to opening night has Richard make his Broadway debut, find romance with an ambitious older woman (CLAIRE DANES) and experience the dark side of genius after daring to cross the brilliant and charismatic‐but sometimes‐ cruel Welles, all‐the‐while mixing with everyone from starlets to stagehands in behind‐the‐scenes adventures bound to change his life.
